The length of your holiday is another key consideration when picking a travel destination. After all, Australia is quite remote, and it may not make sense to take a 12-hour flight to a destination when you only have a long weekend available for your trip. But that doesn’t mean that you have to stick to Australian shores. Many stunning South Pacific destinations, including Fiji, Vanuatu and New Caledonia, are less than a four-hour flight from the east coast.
