*Jellyfish Lake Tour (Paddling Palau)
Visitors from all over the world flock to the lake to experience the primordial essence of this unique marine sanctuary. Floating effortlessly on the surface each visitor is treated to the sensation of the gentle touch of millions of soft bodied medusas bouncing harmlessly off their bodies. Enjoy a 30-minute scenic boat ride to the Jellyfish Lake where you’ll do a 15-minute hike before entering the magestic lake. Enjoy snorkeling with the Godlen and Moon Jellyfish Fish followed by lunch at a beach. Bonus snorkels are the fish bowl and swim at the Milky Way

Government required permits:
Please note that the Koror State Government requires all visitors to have a permit for any water tour activity. The regular Rock Island permit cost $50.00 per person is already included in your tour. If you’re planning to visit Jellyfish Lake during your visit in Palau, we recommend buying Jellyfish Lake permit $100.00 per person which covers both Rock Islands and Jellyfish Lake. Both permits are purchasable at the Koror State Ranger’s office and are valid for 10 consecutive days from the
date of purchase. This permit is available at our shop.

Snorkeling equipment:
Please note guests will need to pay for their snorkeling equipment directly which is $10.00 per person.
Tips on what to bring on the tour:
1. Rashguard with a high SPF rating to wear for snorkeling, swimming, and paddling.
2. Underwater camera. You’ll want to record your epic adventures as well, and thus we’ll recommend Go Pros or similar waterproof cameras. Palau’s climate is very tough on sensitive electronics, so be cautious with an SLR.
3. Lightweight Hat. Brim hat for the sun (with strap). Hats with capes over the neck offer much-needed sun protection.
4. Sunglasses. Polarized shades are ideal for blocking the bright sun.
5. Sun screen. On January 1st, 2020 Palau became the first country to ban sunscreen that is known or suspected to be reef-toxic. Only mineral sunscreens that exclusively list zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide as their active ingredients and do not contain parabens, triclosan, triclocarban, or phenoxyethanol are allowed. All sunscreens manufactured by members of the Safe Sunscreen Council meet Palau’s sunscreen requirements. The sun can be very intense—be sure to bring enough. Unsure about your sunscreen? You can always purchase right here on the island!
6. Waterproof Bag. Protect your personal items from getting wet.
7. Good Foot Protection. This is important as some sites is not barefoot friendly. We prefer toe protected Keens over open toed Tevas.
8. Water bottle. Please bring your own water bottle as we’ll have a water in an igloo on the boat. Refill is available on the boat.
9. Snorkeling gears. We have snorkeling gears available for rent but you are welcome to bring your own mask, snorkel, and fins.

*Open topped Kayak Rental Full Day Tour – Double
Renting kayaks is unquestionably the least expensive way to experience the beauty and grandeur of Palau’s rock islands, and we at Paddling Palau are
experts at saving money for our guests. For rentals of more than five days, we will also assist in food and water drop-offs, return shuttles, and logistical coordination. Our Senior Guides will be choreographic itineraries to include snorkeling and camping sites. We will also set up a date for a briefing day where the guide will go over the route and maps with guests. Guests can opt to do a self-guided exploration or hire a guide to go with them.

For ages 1-7 years old, the parent can paddle their kids or can sit on their lap. If 8 years old and above, if they would like to paddle their own kayak full fees apply.

All prices are per person twin share unless otherwise stated, are in Australian dollars, are correct at the time of publication & are subject to change without notice. Cancellation Charges
Please note, cancelled bookings will incur charges. Our travel service providers are entitled to impose cancellation charges, which can be up to 100% of the amount paid to them for the relevant service, regardless of whether travel has commenced. If any refunds are received from travel service providers, they will be passed on to you, less a minimum cancellation fee. Please refer to the Cancellation Policy on general terms & conditions.
