BONUS To Sua Ocean Trench & Piula Cave Pool*
A special trip to the iconic To Sua Ocean Trench departing from any hotel destination within the city boundary of Apia can be arranged through our tour guides. A coastal drive through our main east coast will enable us to catch some glimpse of the modern and old village structures through modern and traditional villages along the way. On this route we can make a first stop at the fresh water Piula Cave Pool or be our last stop after having a swim at the To Sua Ocean Trench which is approximately 40-minute drive to the other side of the Island.

Most guests prefer To Sua as the first stop and Piula as the last for a fresh water swim after having a dip at the Ocean Trench. Along the way we will drive inland through Le Mafa Pass at 1,7000 ft above sea level with a beautiful tropical green scenery before we descend to Lotofaga and straight to the Trench. On the return trip we will drive through Lalomanu Beach and return through Le Mafa Pass back to Apia.

TOUR DESCRIPTION:
The first half-day tour exploring the Mulinu’u area which is situated on a tiny peninsula of Upolu Island in Samoa. It became the site of the colonial administration during the 1870s and continues to be the site of the Parliament of Samoa also known as The Fale Fono and the Lands and Titles Court. It is located on the central north coast of the island and is part of the urban area comprising Apia the country’s capital. At the tip of the peninsula is the Meteorology office which was initially established in the late 19th century as an
observatory. The peninsula is also the site for several important tombs including that of the previous Head of State, Malietoa Tanumafili II.
