Days in this haven can be as active or relaxed as you like. The 250-acre coastal property enjoys 600 metres of absolute beach frontage with stunning ocean views. Pink Bay, the private beach is scenic, safe for swimming and perfect for fishing or snorkelling. The charming beach also serves as a picturesque spot to enjoy a picnic or a quiet sundowner beverage. There are several beautiful nature walks on the property which the team will be happy to point out to guests. Cape Willoughby Lighthouse, the oldest in South Australia, is an enjoyable 25-minute walk from the lodge. The Devil’s Kitchen, a spectacular granite rock formation is also within walking distance.

While you may be tempted to spend your entire stay relaxing at the lodge, all guests can enjoy two scheduled small-group deluxe touring experiences. The first of these is a full day nature-based tour visiting several of the stunning sites of the island along with a swim at one of the island’s stunning beaches (weather dependent). The second tour experience is a half day ‘Taste of Kangaroo Island’ tour focusing on the farm-gate and beverage industry on the island. Locations will vary seasonally, and all entry fees and tastings will be included to such locations as a brewery, a honey farm and shop, the oldest dedicated gin distillery in Australia (KI Spirits) and the Emu Bay Lavender Farm.
