The best time to visit Samoa is during the dry season from May to October, with warm days and less rainfall.

Australian passport holders do not need a visa for stays up to 60 days. Just ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from your return date. Stay up to date with travel requirements on Smartraveller and Sherpa.

Samoa uses the Samoan Tala (WST). Credit cards are accepted in main areas, but cash is recommended for local villages and markets.

Dress modestly in villages, remove shoes before entering homes and always ask before taking photos of locals.

Dial 911 for police, fire or medical help. Your accommodation or tour provider can also assist in an emergency.
