Welcome to Hanoi! Upon arrival at Hanoi Airport, meet your My Holiday representative, who will be holding a sign with your surname. Enjoy a convenient, hassle-free transfer to your accommodation. Settle in and relax after your journey, or head out and get your first feel for the vibrant energy of Hanoi.

Begin your day at historically significant Ba Dinh Square, where Ho Chi Minh declared Vietnam’s independence, and view the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum from the outside while learning about the nation’s revered leader. Continue through central Hanoi to the Temple of Literature, the city’s oldest university and a fine example of traditional Vietnamese architecture dedicated to Confucius. Next, visit the Vietnamese Women’s Museum, home to a diverse collection showcasing the important role of women throughout the country’s history. End your tour on a sweet note with a demonstration of Hanoi’s famous egg coffee, before enjoying a cup yourself. Farewell your guide as your driver transfers you to a local restaurant for lunch.

After breakfast, travel by shuttle bus to Halong Bay, leaving the bustle of the city behind. Board your luxurious ship and settle in with a welcome drink and onboard briefing. Set sail through UNESCO-listed Halong Bay while enjoying a Vietnamese inspired lunch. Visit Surprising Cave (Sung Sot), the bay’s largest and most impressive cave, followed by a trip to Titov Island, where you can hike to a panoramic viewpoint or relax with a swim at the beach. Return to the cruise in time to enjoy the sunset, join a spring roll cooking demonstration, and finish the day with dinner on board.

Start the day with Tai Chi on the sundeck as the sun rises over Halong Bay. This evening, transfer to Hanoi Station for an overnight train journey to Da Nang. Settle into your private cabin and relax as the train travels south through the night, arriving amid the peaceful scenery of central Vietnam the following day.

Continue through narrow lanes to a hidden communal house and a traditional merchant home, offering insight into local life through the ages. Visit the Folklore Museum to deepen your understanding of Hoi An’s heritage, then unwind at a tucked away café, reflecting on the town’s timeless charm.

Today is free to enjoy Hoi An at your own pace. Fly to Ho Chi Minh City and be transferred to your accommodation, before heading out to explore. Discover the history of Saigon with visits to the Reunification Palace, former seat of the South Vietnamese Government, and the Central Post Office designed by Gustave Eiffel. View the nearby Notre Dame Cathedral before strolling along historic Dong Khoi Street to the Saigon Opera House, passing the former CIA building linked to iconic wartime images.
